ich freute mich riesig, als sich fazillah aus malaysia meldete, dass sie über Neujahr mit ihrer Familie nach luzern kommen wollte. So verabredeten wir uns am neujahrstag früh und holte sie in luzern ab, ich schlug vor, mit ihnen schlitteln zu gehen. ihr sohn danial war erst skeptisch, er hätte das mal gegoogelt und es schien eher für kinder zu sein, aber er kam dann doch mit. wir fuhren nach kriens und von dort mit der gondelbahn auf die fräkmüntegg – und kurz vor dem ziel kamen wir aus dem nebel.
i was delighted when fazillah from malaysia announced that she and her family would spend a few days over new year’s in luzern. so we met in luzern early on new year’s day to go tobogganing. her son danial was at first a bit hesitant to join, as he googled the activity the evening before and it seemed like a thing for children. luckily he joined us after all and after a cable car ride where we reached the blue sky above the clouds.

das gipfelbild der frauen durfte nicht fehlen – we did not miss out on the «top»-picture of the women.
dann gings los auf dem schlitten – zu beginn hatten wir ein damen und ein herren team. – off we went – we had a ladies and a gentlemen-team – definitiely lots of fun!
leider war die nebelgrenze weit oben, so dasss wir sie bald erreichten. unfortunately the fog came up quite high, so we soon dived into the clouds.
doch vorher legten wir noch eine fotopause ein. schnee und sonne – definitiv ein perfektes ambiente. ich freute mich sehr, den gästen das element schnee näher zu bringen. so machten wir eine richtige schnee-engel familie (und waren ziemlich nass danach) und passend zum neujahr liefen wir ein 2015 in den frischen schnee. es ist für mich immer ein sehr besonderer moment, wenn ich jemanden sehe, der das element schnee zum ersten mal so richtig entdeckt.
but before sleding back into the clouds, we took several photo-stops – snow and sun, a perfect combination! I was pleased to show the guests what can be done with the new element besides the snow-ball fight: we ended up with a snow-angel family and considering the special day – a 2015 walked into the snow. It is always a very special moment for me, when I have the opportunity to see someone’s first real encounter with snow.
der weg war zum glück sehr klar eingezeichnet, so dass wir auch bei nebel keine probleme hatten – the well prepared path ensured we would not loose our way in the fog.
die bäume waren frisch eingeschneit – wie im wintermärchen. –
the snow covered trees really made it winter-wonderland! back up we went by cable car to have a coffee above the clouds.
nach erfolgreichem schlitteln fuhren wir mit der bahn nochmals für einen kaffee nach oben über die wolken – ein herrlicher ausblick!
auf dem rückweg zurück in den hasliberg durchbrach ich den nebel kurz vor lungern und für einmal fuhr ich nicht durch den tunnel, sondern auf der alten strasse – und gleich bei der ersten ecke musste ich anhalten für einen fotostop. der frische schnee glizerte so schön in der sonne, ein glücksgefühl übermannte mich – das jahr kann ja nur gut werden!
after dropping off fazillah and her family in luzern i drove back up direction hasliberg and just before lungern i decided not to take the tunnel but the long way around. at the beginning of the lake i just had to stop and take a photograph. it was so peaceful and beautiful the way the fresh snow glared in the sun – 2015 can only be a great year!
